Breadsticks with olive oil and oregano

Bread sticks are one of my favorite snacks – plain, with a dip and as a component of a nice salad. You can easily find them in bakeries and supermarkets but, in many ways, it is really worth it to make them at home . They are very affordable, quick and easy to make with natural ingredients and they are a perfect dish for your children to help you model them.

I am suggesting a recipe for bread sticks with olive oil and oregano. With this recipe as a basis you can of course improvise. You can add a little grated cheese to the dough, sunflower seeds or even replace the water with a ¾ cup of minced spinach

2 cups of flour for all use

¾ cup of extra virgin olive oil KUKUZI

½ cup of water

2 teaspoons of sugar

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of oregano

½ teaspoon of baking powder

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, lay two oven baking dishes with baking paper.

Add all the ingredients in a large bowl, stir with a mixer at medium speed for 6-7 minutes until the dough is not stuck anymore on the walls of the bowl.

Knead with your hands along with your children if you want, dough sticks of the same thickness and place them on the baking sheets.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until they get a nice color.

Good luck!
